are we alone

... I read today that some Nasa scientists
claim we will find proof of extraterrestrial
life within 20 years ... considering the
rapid deployment of better and better telescopes
and technologies

A spokesman's quote:
... Just imagine the moment, when we find
potential signatures of life. Imagine the moment
when the world wakes up and the human race realizes
that its long loneliness in time and space may be over
the possibility were no longer alone in the universe,

... you know, I never felt alone in the universe
to begin with. Other conciousnesses have been
connecting with humans since Time began, and I
sense them in my own experiences

... so, would it be good if we found out about
another civilization out there? No, because,
being humans as we are, we would immediately
start attempts at taking them over
... or them, us

... God has constructed the universe to keep
the worlds apart, and we think we can break down that
barrier?

... I like earth as a little lonely island out
in the boondocks beyond nowhere

... and I'm sure the more advanced civilizations,
situated above us, don't particularily want
a bunch of gun toting humans arriving, and
trying to convert everyone to our religions

... oh well, it's just my opinion on the matter,
because I learned about one zen truth:
Be careful what you ask for, because you just
might get it

... what if our discovery of life out there stems
from some alien virus or bug, which we bring back
to dessimate humanity

... there is your proof of extraterrestrial life,
it came and killed us all

... the South Pacific island paradises did not
benefit from the discovery by the European gods
in giant ships

... it all comes down to what you mean by the
concept of being alone

... I heard of a recent study, where people
would rather give themselves electric shocks,
than to be alone with their inner thoughts
for 15 minutes

... everybody is constantly distracted, or
seeking distraction in the form of entertainment

... just to avoid thinking the thoughts in their
own minds

... but it is the Age of Kali-Yuga, so what do
you expect?
