the Christ - Krishna connection

... I was thinking about the connection between
Christ and Krishna. Both had similar life experiences
of battling evil.

... From an article at it is said:

Christ comes from the Greek word 'Christos', which means
"the anointed one". Again, the word 'Krishna' in Greek
is the same as 'Christos'. A colloquial Bengali rendering
of Krishna is 'Kristo', which is the same as the
Spanish for Christ 'Cristo'.

... this Greek connection is important too, since most of
the Bible was actually written by Greeks 200 years after
the crucifiction ... there is a Greek connection

... from my level of understanding, they, both Jesus and
Krishna, were both incarnations of Vishnu, and the
Srimad Bhagavatam says that it dosn't matter whether
absolute proof exists that Christ was fully Divine

... the SB says that all you need to do is look at
the impact that Jesus Christ has had on the world,
and that is proof enough of the divine touch
in his teaching

... the reason I like Krishna, is that Krishna will
kick the asses of demons, where Jesus says to
just show them love and compassion

... the Bhagavata Gita is actually the story of
Krishna instructing his human devotee Arjuna on
the day of the previous Armageddon, a battle which
changed the earth

... I don't presume to know why God chose to
spread the story of Judas's betrayal, and the torture
and crucifiction of his incarnation Jesus, but God
has inscrutable ways

... now, I can't speak for Krishna, but from what I
can gather, Krishna would have played it differently

... it is said that Krishna likes to come to
earth in various guises; sometimes to fight with demons,
sometimes to even be a demon, to test the will
and wisdom of the good kings

... you never know what plans the Divine has for us

If it is the last word I write, let it be Vishnu
