a rainy day in camp

... I can't complain about the rain, and I would
like to thank the gods for bringing me warm fresh
water from the sky, for free

... of course, when the roof leaks, then the rain
becomes a hassle

... a hassle of buckets and pans, placed strategically
to catch the drips

... I was caught by surprise by a science question
which I was confronted with recently in an online
survey

...What is the most abundant periodic table
element on the earth?

... without thinking clearly, at first I thought Nitrogen,
then maybe Silicon, or Hydrogen

... the answer is Oxygen, and if you think of all the
water in the world, and all of the oxidized and rusted metal,
it makes perfect sense

... H2O, di-hydro-monoxide, the stuff which makes
life possible, just falling from the sky for free

... all congratulations to Vishnu, Brahma, and Indra for
pulling off this magnificent work of the rain cycle
