the war lottery

... the recent mega-millions lottery frenzy made
me think... why not have a War lottery to pay for the huge
war debt we are running up?

... the revolutionary war was partially financed by a lottery,
and if the rich and military-industrial complex won't
raise taxes on themselves to pay for their expensive foreign escapades, why
not offer a billion dollar monthly lottery?

... a recent radio story by an economist, said that the government
could reighn in 33 cents on every dollar lottery ticket sold

... if war's economic realities means that we can't have guns and butter, and least
we can have guns and hope of winning and escaping the miserable mess

... in the same line of thought, how about The Old Folks Home lottery,
or the Save the Babies lottery?
