happy winter soltice

... ohh, its that cold again,

... when the solar orbit favors the southern hemisphere

... the solstice... when that orbital mis-alignment reaches
it's mathematical peak.... the shortest day of the year in the
northern hemisphere and the longest in the southern

... we orbit the sun, but at a tiny angular offset from the
equitorial plane of the sun

... but that tiny oscillatory imbalance, at a frequency of one per year,
introduces massive amounts of energies into the planetary tides,
by causing change...which causes swirls...and then rain....

... and the rain turns to snow in the winter
... snow is good for nature, but modern people like it's rain form better

... snow used to make the highways for dog sleds, so it was good

... why honor the solstice?
... because it reminds us of how big the cosmic ocean really is,
... and consequently, of how insignificant we are in physical terms
... and that should temper us with wonder and humility,
... as to what is actually going on here?

... the entire human race is lucky to be alive IMHO
... its a dangerous universe out there for matter-based life
... you need the shelter of a goddess planet

... and we as humans are lucky, the earth goddess just loves
that slow rockin with the sun... :-)

... happy solstice

P.S. ... here is my gift to the cosmic master
... a view thru my 3rd eye
... a cosmic haiku
